Newborn care

How often should my baby take a bath?

It is generally recommended to give infants a sponge bath until their umbilical cord stump falls off and the navel area is healed, which typically occurs within the first month of life. After that, it is generally safe to give babies a bath 2-3 times a week, or as needed. However, it is important to note that every baby is different and some may need more frequent baths if they are prone to diaper rash or other skin irritations. It’s also a good idea to consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice.
