I’m breastfeeding and I have painful lumps inside my breasts?

Painful lumps in the breasts can be a symptom of a condition called mammary duct ectasia, which occurs when the ducts that carry milk to the nipple become blocked. The blockage can cause inflammation and infection, leading to breast pain and lumps. Other possible causes of breast lumps while breastfeeding include plugged milk ducts or a breast infection known as mastitis.

It is important to consult with a healthcare professional such as a lactation consultant or a doctor to determine the cause of the lumps and receive proper treatment.
