There are a few things you can try if your child refuses to sit in a feeding chair:
-Make sure the chair is comfortable and the right size for your child.
Allow your child to participate in choosing the chair or setting the table.
Use positive reinforcement, such as praising your child when they sit in the chair or providing a small reward after a successful meal in the chair.
Make mealtime fun by talking and laughing with your child, playing music, or reading a book during the meal.
Gradually introduce the chair, starting with short periods of time and gradually increasing the length of time your child sits in the chair.
Make sure your child is not tired, hungry or stressed before mealtime.
if the above steps not working, it’s best to consult with a pediatric occupational therapist for further support.
